€ 1,1 million for mangrove forests and communities on Tristao

For PRCM, Van Marwijk Advies developed a 4-year project to restore the mangroves on Tristao Islands, in the North of Guinea. Natural regeneration and replanting of mangroves are combined with the introduction of solar energy and new, sustainable economic activities for the poor local communities. Van Marwijk Advies succesfully approached donors: D.O.B. Ecology will finance the implementation of this 4-year project. The project is executed by PRCM and their two NGO-partners in Guinea: Guinée Ecologie and PREM.
