€ 2 million for migratory birds

Van Marwijk Advies assisted Birdlife W-Africa with writing of a € 2 million project to protect migratory shorebirds along the East-Atlantic flyway. The project was approved by MAVA Foundation Switzerland. At 3 key sites in Mauritania, Senegal and Guinea Bissau activities are undertaken, like bird counting, training of local teams, developing bird clubs and socio-economic projects for local communities.
