$719,986 to end child sexual exploitation in Uganda

Child trafficking is common in Uganda; each year, 400-900 children (90% girls) are trafficked for sexual exploitation and street begging. The impoverished Karamoja region is a key trafficking source area.

Van Marwijk Advies assisted Terre des Hommes with the writing of a project to end this. Terre des Hommes and partners will create effective referral, response and reporting mechanisms, that will provide a protective shield of children and reduce their vulnerability. 2,000 children at risk will be protected. This $719,986 project will be fully funded by the US Global Fund to End Modern Slavery (GFEMS)
